God was watching silently as her tears fell down

She couldn’t see and didn’t feel his presence all around

Her shattered heart and broken life is all that she could see

This was not at all the life she prayed for it to be

Patiently he held her hurt and whispered in her sleep

You are my child but in this life, some things you cannot keep

Although you’re hurt, he could not stay some things just have to go

And there are times my sweetest child when I must tell you no

So dry your tears and raise your head and know without a doubt

The love you need to carry on, you’ll never go without.
